Chris Tidball

Senior Advisor

 

Chris Joined Dial Partners as a Partner in February 2014. Previously he was with the international advisory firm, Europa Partners and prior to that Head of the Media & Leisure Team within Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance. At Andersen he built up a team whose clients included United News & Media, News International, BSkyB, Axel Springer Verlag and BBC Worldwide. Before Arthur Andersen, he was a main board director of Lloyds Merchant Bank which he helped grow into a group encompassing stock broking, investment management, development capital and corporate finance.


Chris has experience in some 200 transactions across a wide range of different clients and covering most industry sectors and at different stages in their development. These include start-ups such as Paypoint plc and BBC Ventures, acquisitions for News International, Dixons and Axel Springer, divestments for clients as diverse as the European Commission and United Biscuits, fundraisings for Renishaw plc, Sun International and the BBC, and the privatisation of Severn Trent plc, and numerous other IPOs.


He has an honours degree in Economics from Cambridge University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
